Profile Perfect Level 388 Hints And Walkthrough

This puzzle starts with Bat A’s wake-up time already locked in, and the first few clues drop very direct trait assignments. But you’ll need to watch the positional relationships carefully, especially the “at least two columns away” rule and the neighbor clues. Let’s work through it step by step.

Step 1: Lock Bat A’s starting details and Bat C’s nose

screenshot

The initial answer tells us Bat A wakes at 6.45 PM. Then Clue 2 says Bat A is a vampire bat and hunts the swiftest insect – that gives Bat A’s Favorite Food as Dragonfly and Blood (both go in the same cell, separated by a slash). Clue 3 adds that the Long‑Eared bat is at either end of the grid, and the linked cell makes Bat A the Long‑Eared bat. So Bat A’s Unique Trait is Long Ears.

Clue 1 is straightforward: Bat C has a uniquely shaped nose, which means Bat C’s Unique Trait is Leaf Nose.

At this point we have:

  • Bat A: Unique = Long Ears, Food = Dragonfly / Blood, Wake = 6.45 PM
  • Bat C: Unique = Leaf Nose

Step 2: Use the vampire’s right neighbor to place Bat B’s hideout

screenshot

Clue 5 says to the vampire’s right is a bat living under the Bridge. The vampire is Bat A (from Clue 2), so the bat immediately to the right of Bat A must be Bat B. Therefore Bat B’s Hideout is Bridge.

Step 3: The last bat to wake sits between the Tunnel and Cave dwellers

screenshot

Clue 7 tells us the last bat to wake is next to the Tunnel and Cave dwellers. The last wake‑up time across all bats is 11.30 PM (we don’t know who that is yet, but we’ll assign it shortly). The Tunnel dweller is Bat A (we’ll confirm that soon) and the Cave dweller is Bat C (also confirmed later). The only bat that can be “next to” both Tunnel and Cave is Bat B, because Bat A and Bat C are its immediate neighbors in the line‑up (A – B – C – D). So Bat B must be the last to wake – its Wake Up Time is 11.30 PM.

At the same time, Clue 7 also links Bat A’s Hideout to Tunnel and Bat C’s Hideout to Cave. And Clue 4 says the Leaf Nose bat (Bat C) wakes slightly under 3 hours before midnight – that’s exactly 9.15 PM. So now Bat C’s Wake Up Time is locked.

New info:

  • Bat A: Hideout = Tunnel
  • Bat B: Hideout = Bridge, Wake = 11.30 PM
  • Bat C: Hideout = Cave, Wake = 9.15 PM

Step 4: The Seed must stay at least two columns away from the Dragonfly

screenshot

Clue 6 says Seed is at least two columns away from the Dragonfly. Bat A has Dragonfly (among its foods). The only other bat that gets Seed is Bat D (as we’ll see later). The distance between Bat A (column 1) and Bat D (column 4) is three columns, which satisfies “at least two columns away”. This confirms that Bat D’s Favorite Food includes Seed. (Clue 6 also links Bat B’s Hideout to Bridge, which we already have, and Bat A’s Food to Blood, also already placed.)

Step 5: Beetle belongs to the Big‑Eyed bat, and a fleeing insect gets eaten

screenshot

Clue 9 directly states that Beetle is the favorite food of the Big‑Eyed bat. The Big‑Eyed bat is Bat D (we’ll lock that trait next). So Bat D’s Favorite Food also includes Beetle. Together with Seed, Bat D’s food cell is Seed / Beetle.

Clue 8 says something “fled the Leaf Nose yet is still eaten by its right neighbor.” The Leaf Nose bat is Bat C; its right neighbor is Bat D. Bat D eats Beetle, and the clue links Bat D’s Favorite Food to Beetle. So that matches perfectly.

Step 6: Big Wings and the bees, plus Moth left of Cricket

screenshot

Clue 10 tells us Big Wings (a Unique Trait) and bees are competing for food. The bees’ food is Nectar. So Bat B, which already loves Moth, also loves Nectar – giving Bat B’s food as Moth / Nectar. And Bat B’s Unique Trait becomes Big Wings.

Clue 11 says Moth is to the left of the bat who likes Cricket. Bat B has Moth, and Bat C likes Cricket. In the grid order (A, B, C, D), Bat B is indeed left of Bat C. No surprise, but it’s a nice confirmation.

Step 7: The Long‑Eared bat’s crash habit pins the last unique trait

Clue 12 mentions that the Long‑Eared bat (Bat A) often crashes into cars. The clue links Bat A’s Hideout to Tunnel (already set) and Bat D’s Unique Trait to Big Eyes. So now Bat D’s Unique Trait is Big Eyes.

That leaves only Bat D’s Hideout and Wake Up Time unfilled. By elimination:

  • Hideouts used: Tunnel (A), Bridge (B), Cave (C) → the only remaining hiding spot is Tree, so Bat D’s Hideout is Tree.
  • Wake‑up times used: 6.45 PM (A), 11.30 PM (B), 9.15 PM (C) → the only remaining time is 8.00 PM, so Bat D wakes at 8.00 PM.

Solution: Finish the remaining matches

All four bats are now fully placed. The final grid matches the table at the top of this article. Every trait, every food (including the slash‑separated pairs), every hideout, and every wake‑up time is accounted for.

Trickiest Clues In Profile Perfect Level 388

Clue 6: “Seed is at least 2 columns away from the Dragonfly”

This clue can trip you up because it doesn’t say “exactly” or “to the right” – just “at least 2 columns away.” You might think multiple bats could hold Seed, but only Bat D ends up with it. The distance is 3 columns, so it works. Make sure you don’t assume Seed can’t be on the same side; the wording lets it be any direction as long as the column difference is 2 or more.

Clue 7: “The last bat to wake is next to the Tunnel and Cave dwellers”

This one is a bit dense because it refers to two different neighbors at once. The last bat (Bat B) must be adjacent to both the Tunnel dweller (Bat A) and the Cave dweller (Bat C). That only works if Bat B is between them – which it is. If you try to put the last bat at an end, it can’t be next to both. The clue effectively forces the order A–B–C and rules out any other arrangement.

Clue 8: “fled the Leaf Nose yet is still eaten by its right neighbor”

The wording is playful but can be confusing. “Fled the Leaf Nose” means something (presumably an insect) escaped from Bat C. “Yet is still eaten by its right neighbor” means that same insect ends up as food for the bat to the right of Bat C (Bat D). So Bat D’s food must include whatever that is – Beetle, as the clue confirms. Just remember that the clue isn’t describing a movement of bats; it’s describing the food chain.

Final Thoughts

Profile Perfect Level 388 is a neat example of how a few direct trait drops (like Bat C’s nose and Bat A’s vampire status) mix with positional clues to fill the grid. The slash‑separated food cells don’t complicate things much once you treat each value as part of the same cell. The “last bat to wake” clue is the key that locks the order and the hideouts, and the distance clue for Seed keeps Bat D’s food from overlapping too closely. Once you see that Bat B has to sit in the middle, everything else falls into place. Happy solving!
